Beliefs
We are a conservative Bible teaching and believing church. The label which is often used to describe us is an evangelical church. All sermons are preached from a Biblical text and most sermons are an explanation of the Scripture and an application of the Scripture to our lives. We believe God's Word is practical for our times, powerful in changing lives, and personable for each and every person regardless of position, problem, or personality. For more specific information on our beliefs, you may check with our link to our denominational web site under "About Us".
Atmosphere
Our church is located in a rural community surrounded by peaceful farm land. The atmosphere of our church is directly related to our peaceful surroundings. A positive relaxing atmosphere would describe our gathering times. People come dressed in casual clothes with an occasional suit and tie. Being comfortable in our dress and with each other is important. Visitors usually call us friendly, loving, and accepting. People of our congregation will often share a "praise the Lord" in our worship times and praying for and with someone else is a common occurrence. We do our best to make sure no one is put in an awkward or embarrassing situation. An Example of this is our observance of the lord's Supper. In our church all believers may take the elements and they are usually served as the people remain seated. We observe the Lord's Supper about once a quarter on Sunday mornings. Our desire is for us to worship and learn in a setting where they feel comfortable and able to focus on the Lord, not on protecting themselves from surprises.
